We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sr. HW Engineer to join our team. As an HW
Engineer for 6Harmonics, you will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting
technologies & projects while developing your career.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with the team of talented SW and RF engineers on a TV White Space Point-to-
    Multipoint wireless communication system
  • Support internal SoC team on testing and system-level debugging, as well as supporting
    and interacting with remote co-workers
  • Designing hardware such as digital and analog circuit design, schematic capture, layout,
    simulation, and preparing the detailed design, test, and manufacturing documentation
  • Validate evaluation board design, schematics, and SI
  • RF / IF circuit design, simulation, and validation
  • Select or design waveguide filters, combiners/dividers, strip-line filters, mixers,
    attenuators, and couplers.
  • Establish lab processes, bench testing, and test equipment such as spectrum analyzers,
    vector network analyzers, power meters, signal/noise generators, etc.
  • FCC / ISED Certification
  • CE marking / certification
  • EMI / EMC testing
  • Provide timely solutions
  • Create comprehensive and complete documentation.
  • Make recommendations for software improvements

Requirements and qualifications: 

  •  Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 10 to 20 years of RF development and implementation experience with high-
    performance electronics and/or wireless communications products.
  • Digital and analog design background. Microprocessors, memories, filters, point of load
    power supplies
  • Relevant experience in hardware design flow such as component selection, digital and
    analog circuit design, schematic capture, layout, simulation, and validation
  • Solid understanding of basic communications and wireless systems theory and
    experience with RF hardware design and integration
  • Proven experience with RF tests and basic lab instruments including spectrum analyzers,
    network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC compliance issues
  • Familiarity with requirements definition and/or verification and validation
    methodologies and technology
  • Solid knowledge of radio standards (LTE, Wi-Fi, BLE, TV White Space)
  • Analytical mindset, high capacity, result-oriented, and ability to deliver under pressure
  • Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing methods
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s
    success
  • Highly motivated team player with, superior problem-solving skills, initiative, the ability
    to prioritize tasks, and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Experience in a structured engineering environment. Familiarity with Agile product
    development process, tools, work planning, and reporting.
  • Positive attitude and good work ethic.

Nice to have: 

  • Ability to work well with others, including HW team management and cross-discipline
    communications.
  • Knowledge of signal integrity, high-speed signal fundamentals, and simulation
    techniques
  • Wireless Communications and/or GNSS experience
  • Familiarity with radiation analysis and EEE-INST-002
  • Familiarity with component qualification concerns
  • Familiarity with FPGA design – implementation onto a PCB with internal RTL experience
    beneficial
  • Familiarity with power supply design
  • Experience certifying wireless, automotive and marine products to a global marketplace
  • Experience using ADS and/or Matlab simulation tools
